His original name was lost in time. Only known as  “The Blood Prince”. He was a prince in the royal empire destined to become king after his father past away. Unfortunately for him, his younger brother had other plans. Tricking his older brother into thinking there was a threat outside the kingdom, he sent his goons to kill him, so he could become king. The Prince was almost killed in the assault. But he lived and swore revenge on his brother. He later on discovered a mage that convinced him to turn to the dark arts, to get his vengeance. He discovered he was best suited for blood magic. With his new found powers he went back to the kingdom. He interrupted his brothers coronation by rushing to attack. The new king didn't stand a chance, nor did the guards. He stole the crown and his fathers sword and gave himself the name The Blood Prince. His power to control blood drove him insane
